Sheet music has its own structure. The first thing is to understand the staff (a set of lines and spaces), which will show you what notes to play. Other than notes, the staff will have time signatures, clef signs, key signatures, and markings for the pitch and tempo of each note. All these things work hand in hand to create piano music.
